CSR2 iOS 12 and below, Support Update

Hey Racers,

Over the years, iOS technology has continued to advance. This has brought fantastic new developments along the way, helping us to provide you with the best possible iOS gaming experience.

However, as this technology continues to advance, it does mean that devices with older Operating Systems will offer their users a less than optimal gaming experience. Therefore, and in order to ensure that our iOS players can continue to enjoy CSR2, we will be stopping further updates on devices on iOS 12 and below, from 26th July 2023.

What OS should I use on my device?

We'll be ending support for devices below iOS 13, please use iOS 13 or above to continue playing CSR2.

You can find out how to update your iOS version on Apple's Support website.

How do I transfer my CSR2 data to a new device?

Your game progress is carefully saved with us, so that you can launch it on a compatible device and continue from where you left.

In order to continue playing CSR2 on a new device, make sure you’re using the same Game Centre or Google Play Games account and log into CSR2. You’ll then be prompted to restore your profile from your old device!

When will support end?

Players uninstalling the game on devices on iOS 12 or below, will not be able to re-install the game from 4th of August 2023.

Players will still be able to participate in seasons, showdowns & events until early August 2023.

Why am I unable to watch Video Ads to earn Fuel in CSR2?

We've been receiving reports that players are unable to watch ads or that the watch to earn feature is not working. Currently, each player will be able to watch a Video Ad only once every 30 seconds. If you received a pop up message indicating that it's unavailable, please wait for a moment to be able to play the next one.

Why can't I access the Elite Tuner Chapter 4?

We know that you are all excited to complete the latest chapter of Elite Tuners, "Fortune Favors the Brave". To access this, "Sound of the Underground Act 2" should be completed first which is also the "One Ride, One Vision Act 2".

Elite Custom Token Limits

Why am I unable to race in Izzy’s Assistance?

We’re aware that some of you have been unable to race in the current Izzy’s Assistance event. Izzy’s Assistance is spread between 4 events (A, B, C and D) to lock in different Legends cars and the current event is a repeat of event B.

This means that if you have already completed event A then you won’t be able to participate. This will be same for future Izzy’s Assistance events.

Why am I not receiving my prizes?

We've received some reports that players aren't receiving their prizes, mainly from leaderboards across crew championships, prestige cups and other races.These prizes can take up to 24 hours to be awarded. Where we identify players who should have been eligible but didn't receive the prize, we try and perform a manual credit to make sure no one misses out on their prizes.We are looking at how we can make the prize awarding system even smoother, so it's even clearer when you receive your prizes.

Why do I need gas?

Your car isn’t going anywhere without some Gas in the tank. You can see your Gas meter at the top of the screen, beside the gas pump icon. 
Every time you race you will consume at least one pip of Gas. It’ll refill slowly over time, but if you need more in a hurry, tap the Gas meter at the top of the screen and select one of the options to fill your tank.

What are Evo Points?

Evo points are shown beside your car’s PP. The (+/-) numbers show how much extra performance you’ve squeezed out of your car by using fusion parts, or by tuning your car.

How long does each season last for?

Each season lasts for two weeks. There is a short period of time between a season-ending and a new season starting as we finalize the leaderboards and top crews.

What are Gold and Cash?

At the top right of the screen you can see how much Gold and Cash you currently have; if you need a little more, then you can access our store by hitting the Plus Symbol. Here you can spend real money on some extra Cash or Gold.You can also get more Gold by:

  • our website collection ( cheaper and faster)
  • Leveling up and progressing through the game
  • Beating certain opponents

What are Keys and how can I get more?

Keys are a special currency that unlock cars, upgrade parts and other items in the Rare Imports. There are three different types of Key - bronze, silver, and gold - and each type is used to unlock a different type of prize.Keys can be won in some events, in multiplayer, or purchased from the store.

🔧Upgrades and Tuning

Upgrading overview

Your car may smoke the opposition at first, but you’ll need to upgrade it to keep on winning. To do this, hit the Upgrade Tab in the main menu. Remember that the car you have equipped will be the one you're upgrading.

Scroll through the different upgrades at bottom of the screen. Remember that sometimes increasing certain aspects of your vehicle may not be the best decision. For example, upgrading your car's Turbo to Stage 5 before improving your tires will make it harder to grip the road - something you'll want to avoid.

To change the Stage of Upgrade you have equipped, swipe left or right on the large upgrade window in the middle of the screen. If you haven't bought an upgrade, it'll cost you Cash or Gold to fit it. Starting from Stage 4, you have to wait for the upgrades to be delivered.

If you’re lucky, you’ll get your hands on some super-rare Stage 6 upgrades. These parts are even more powerful than the Stage 5 upgrades, offering improved performance and additional fusion slots.

How do I add or remove upgrades?

Go to the Upgrade Screen with the car you wish to upgrade selected. Once here, select the component you wish to upgrade by using the tabs at the bottom of the screen. You can then scroll through different level upgrades on the screen by swiping left and right. Once you've found the upgrade you want to fit, either buy it, or tap "Re-fit Part" to fit it.

Where can I win car parts?

Car parts can be won in multiplayer, from crates obtained in the Rare Imports screen, and through some challenges.

What are Stage 6 Parts?

If you’re lucky you’ll get your hands on some super-rare Stage 6 parts. These  are even more powerful than the Stage 5 upgrades, offering improved performance and additional fusion slots. They are car-specific and can be won by using Keys in the Rare Imports screen, or in some events.

Once you've fitted a Stage 6 part, you can pay gold to remove it and fit it to another car!

Can I remove a Fusion Part?

Yes, you can remove fusion parts. First, find the upgrade it's fused to in the upgrade screen. Tap the fitted fusion part, and pay the cost shown to return it to your inventory.

Rare Import Parts

You can win rare upgrades, Fusion Parts, and even exclusive cars by visiting the Rare Imports option in the menu bar at the bottom of the garage screen. Once you’ve won an upgrade or a part, it’ll end up in your inventory, ready to be fitted to an appropriate car.

I added Fusion Parts to my Upgrades; why didn't my Performance Potential (PP) increase?

Fusion Parts give you Evo Points, not Performance Potential. Evo Points can be seen to the right of your car’s rating. Evo points are similar to PP, but they show how much extra performance you've gained from Fusion Parts and tuning.
